Twitter’s outspoken and dedicated user base vehemently lambasted the prospective change — with the expectations that it could be announced by March ending— would contaminate the brevity as much as the speed of the real-time service. The character limit that coercively prompts users to write quick short tweets now stand to be replaced by lengthier essays found on Facebook , for instance.
